Walking in Sankey

A walk in Sankey is refreshing and energizing. It has been quite sometime since I started walking, sometimes in the mornings and sometimes in the evenings. Morning walks are more invigorating than evening walks that are dull and gloomy unless one watches the sun setting. Here are some of the interesting things you can observe:

Kids amusement playground: This is the place I relax after 2 long rounds around the lake. Parents having all the patience to help their kids learn is no easy a task. There was this little angel, all dressed in white and with two cute tiny ponies rolling in the mud and looking at the sky and laughing like there was no end to her joy. Another one running behind a photographer to check what the man was doing with that equipment.

Young Couples:" Obscene behavior is punishable" doesn't seem to deter these couples. They are in their own dream worlds romancing on the benches. When I was their age, I always thought, "oh my god? How can they do it so openly?" I am glad I was like that.

A bunch of young and strong guys: Sitting and having a chat on the benches about their relationships. I overheard a few of them, like this one.

First guy, "maga, there were more nos than yesess kano!"

All of them start laughing loudly.

First guy , "Finally enmadlu gotta, spam ge haakbutlu nanna."

I thought more nos than yesess, its like that when it is one-sided and moved on.

Really health conscious citizens: They are my inspiration. I see them and it gives me a check on my walking speed and posture of my body and ofcourse boosts my confidence level. Some affirmations in the mind and I start walking with more energy.

Energetic forty or so : Men and women in their middle age having the vigour and life of a twenty year old is a treat by all means. The discipline and mental toughness shown is something I have to build. Hats off to them.

Senior citizens: They are there mostly with their grandchildren and gossiping about their children's work activities. They are the happier ones to visit the lake than anyone else.

I definitely want to thank the authorities for making this place so wonderful, and all those acquaintances I get to see while walking. You make my day.

I miss Sankey soooooooo much. It is one of those places that was like a comfortable corner for me. I am sure Shruti will agree. The water is so mesmerizing. Life's mysteries some how sort themselves out there. I am yet to find a corner like that here.
