Turnaround Postulates

By Aparna C P A note on smooth transition from traditional systems to next-generation systems. Is there a way to introduce turnaround postulates to refine a system that is on its edge? An interesting proposition to address the current system of chaos and uncertainty is to understand the basic intellectual and social values on which the system stands. With due respect and honour to all the professionals who have worked tirelessly for decades to get the system going on the path of utility and goodness, a stage is set for the new generation to build a future with turnaround technology, management, strategy and philosophy. How does the present population perceive the situation and come up with solutions that are both viable and sustainable? Assumptions & Beliefs Turnaround postulates is concerned with the development of a framework that aides in smooth transition from traditional systems to next generation systems. An insight into the minds of torchbearers and toiling i...

Habits of a Commoner

Thoughts of a commoner influenced by Stephen Covey's 7 Habits of Highly Effective People It has been a month and a half in Indore. Enjoying the weather for the first time as showers in the early morning has cooled down the climate and the campus is just the right place for some introspection. 1. Be Proactive: Taking classes on how to solve 3*3*3 Rubik's cube. Yes. I had learnt solving a Rubik's cube in the summer holidays of 1993 after I passed out of middle school. Though I thought it was a little complex, I was fortunate to have good teachers from my own family, who learnt to solve it much earlier in their childhood. I have offered to teach kids and elders how to solve the cube and make sometime for it every week. Hip Hip Hurray. 2. Begin with the End in Mind: How to get a makeover. This is something I have always wanted to achieve learning how to put makeup. Since we have some residents who are quite experts in the field, I have found enough motivation to learn...

Summer Of Hope

It was the month of June In the class of fine arts Alice sat singing the tune "Sun's Shining, Let us not depart" Mr. Hope was young with a beard Gentle and deep was his voice Stood by the side of the board And swept the heart of Alice A skillful teacher that he was Listened to the minds with care His breath waited for a pause As Alice enjoyed the bright glare A teacher of art in the picture Toiled everyday for the perfection Of his pupils' art that's amateur Driving their art in the right direction Alice visited Mr. Hope's studio Studied the pictures of the magical place And dreamed to gift a present To the man of beauty and grace That could say a thousand words The joy that was created in his art She made an album of his works And spoke the feelings of her heart Suddenly awoken by the ringing bell Mr. Hope looked at Alice playfully Took her out of the lovely spell Acknowledging her passion tot...

An Everyday Affair

As I resume blogging... It was part of a routine summer When the noise of the beggar Passed through the streets of love And fell on the cooing lonesome dove As the wanderer rests in place The dove flies restlessly in space One ponders about the shifting fate The other waits for the beloved mate Is there a place of eternal bliss Or was that the last gaze of goodbye kiss! The church bells ring from far As the sky welcomes the night star The beggar looks ecstatic in the dark And the dove radiates a glowing spark It was their everyday affair with the moon And the two felt abundant with the boon They rejoiced at the sight And rested through the night... Happy Pongal To Everyone!!!

Sea of Emotions

Standing across the street in the dark Beam of light chasing the night Feeling the chill of the wind Longing eyes concealing the emotions Having fought hard for reasons unknown And a sudden jolt creating strife in the mind A face, a picture, a smile, a life, a child Appearing as a flash with every blink Wondering if nature knew the innocence A tear on the palm consoling the image Neither nature nor life can empty Sea of emotions, point of unknown beginning Flowing high like never before and a sudden fall Portray an expression of no emotion All moments captured as life begins to walk.

Walking in Sankey

A walk in Sankey is refreshing and energizing. It has been quite sometime since I started walking, sometimes in the mornings and sometimes in the evenings. Morning walks are more invigorating than evening walks that are dull and gloomy unless one watches the sun setting. Here are some of the interesting things you can observe: Kids amusement playground : This is the place I relax after 2 long rounds around the lake. Parents having all the patience to help their kids learn is no easy a task. There was this little angel, all dressed in white and with two cute tiny ponies rolling in the mud and looking at the sky and laughing like there was no end to her joy. Another one running behind a photographer to check what the man was doing with that equipment. Young Couples :" Obscene behavior is punishable" doesn't seem to deter these couples. They are in their own dream worlds romancing on the benches. When I was their age, I always thought, "oh my god? How can ...
